And The Writer Is is a critically acclaimed music podcast hosted by multi-platinum songwriter Ross Golan and produced in partnership with Big Deal Music and Mega House Music. It recently completed its third season run with songwriters such as Nick Jonas, Charli XCX, Ryan Tedder, and Bebe Rexha.

To maintain the podcast’s momentum until the upcoming fourth season of And The Writer Is, Fame House launched an And The Writer Is… You songwriting competition inviting songwriters at all levels of experience to submit an audio recording of an original song of their own.

From there, entrants competed to garner the most votes in exchange for a chance to be interviewed by Ross in their own abridged episode. This encouraged each songwriter to promote the contest in order to drive votes from their own communities, which helped to spread grassroots awareness of And The Writer Is within the songwriter community. Throughout the competition, individual submissions and finalists were highlighted across And The Writer Is social channels via graphic and video content developed by Fame House.

The competition itself was hosted on Hive (hive.co), which allowed And The Writer Is to collect data from competition entrants and voters who opted-in for future marketing from the podcast. Ultimately the competition garnered more than 400 submissions and around 20,000 unique voters.
